For a more efficient energy use, the Agency supports the development and dissemination of knowledge targeted at households, industry, and the public sector. The Agency finances research for new and renewable energy technologies, smart grids, and vehicles and transport fuels of the future.

Svenska kraftnät is the authority responsible for ensuring that Sweden's transmission system for electricity is safe, environmentally sound and cost-effective.

Vinnova is Sweden's government agency for innovation.

Growth Analysis is an agency that evaluates and analyses Swedish growth policy.

Business Sweden (Swedish Trade & Invest Council)
Business Sweden's purpose is to help companies in Sweden to grow their international revenues and international companies to invest and expand in Sweden.

The Swedish Consumer Agency is a government agency whose task is to safeguard consumer interests.

National Board of Housing, Building and Planning (Boverket)

The Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning is a central government authority assorted under the Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation. The board currently has no specific support coupled to smart grids and the built environment. The Board does, however, have the main responsibility for the development of sustainable cities, of which smart grids are an important part.
